電影經典對白

電影，是一種表演藝術、視覺藝術及聽覺藝術，利用膠卷、錄像帶或數位媒體將影像和聲音捕捉起來，再加上幕後的編輯工作所製成的創作結晶。

今天就要帶大家一起來回顧幾部好萊塢電影的經典對白，在複雜的情境當中，每一句話所應用到的文法及用語。

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.

※單字:
hero  n. 英雄；勇士
villain  n. 壞人，惡棍

※語法應用:
either.....or  不是...就是...; 要嘛.....不然就是..... (二者選擇其中一項)
反義詞:  neither...nor...(兩者都不是)

※句型結構:
為了讓句子在語法上更簡潔有力,”you either die a hero”這段話當中有一個like被省略掉,完整內容會是: You either die like a hero or live...
ex: After the review meeting of our company’s financial situation, David treats everyone an opponent.
在公司上一次召開了財報檢討會議之後,大衛把每個人都當成了自己的敵人.

※句型結構:“it is only thing....”這一句運用到了關係代名詞,句中省略掉了which is兩個字,關係代名詞常與be.V一起省略,因此,完整的內容應該是: “it is the only thing which is stronger than fear”, which is stronger than fear這整句話被用來修飾前面的the only thing,被當成形容詞來運用.

have...thrust upon... 這裡的have做為使役動詞
詞意為: 讓...強加在...上面
ex: It' s impossible for him to thrust his own opinions upon us .  
他想把他的觀點強加給我們, 這是絕對不可能的。

※句型結構:
1. Be not afraid of greatness這一句以原型動詞開頭作為祈使句,意即:「不要害怕...」
2. Some are born great / some achieve greatness 兩句都省略掉了people這個字, 句子中的”some”都是被用來指稱”某些人”

Why is that people who can’t take advice always insist on giving it?
為什麼那些老是愛提供意見的人, 他們通常自己都聽不進去別人的意見呢 ?

※句型結構:
整段話用到了兩個關係代名詞:
1. Why is that... 的that指稱的是後面所提到的整件現象,在詢問說: 為什麼會有這樣的現象發生呢 ?
2.再往後看到的who,是整句話當中的第2個關係代名詞, who can’t take advice 整段話被當成是形容詞來修飾前面的"people", 所以整句話的動詞,反而落在最後面的always insist on ...。
