哈佛大學新鮮人江依柔同學, 2011 ETS托福獎學金10位得獎者之一,畢業於復興實驗高中,國中時就有到國外唸大學的想法。目前已經遠赴美國哈佛大學就讀,計劃在大學畢業後繼續深造,目前計畫主修國際關係,希望能透過所學,瞭解並改善國與國之間的關係,日後再進入法學院就讀,未來成為一名法律顧問,透過自己的專業幫助他人。

多益獎學金申請日期延長,同學們切勿再錯過囉
2011 年第二屆多益獎學金特展延報名截止日至10月中
鼓勵青年交出暑假亮麗的「公益成績單」
2011年台灣地區ETS多益獎學金計畫原訂於8月31日截止收件,因接受到許多同學反應,有的希望能將在這個暑假所參與的志工活動成績,有的希望能將參加9月24日至27日的「國際新聞協會2011台北年會」志工等服務紀錄納入多益獎學金申請資料中;基於鼓勵青年積極做公益,ETS決定將申請截止時間延長至10月15日。
ETS為鼓勵青年學子學習英語熱忱、幫助他人改善國際溝通力,並積極參與公益,於去年(2010)舉辦首屆多益獎學金計畫,成果輝煌。其中大學得獎者蔡炘達獲得美國Berea College全額獎學金,已於8月啟程赴美深造,並表示:「能出國念書要感謝多益獎學金光環,讓我能順利申請到全額獎學金」;高職組得獎者泰北高中的柯愛詩還獲得了總統教育獎,且與另一位高中組得獎者周儀在頒獎活動中結識成為好朋友,她也在周儀今年主辦的「黏多醣症世界交流會」擔任志工,真是「德不孤必有鄰」。
ETS台灣區代表王星威表示,「今年我們得到了ETS支持,再舉辦第二屆獎學金計畫,從收到的申請件中,有的同學曾擔任2011四大洲花式滑冰錦標賽、2011國際自由車環台賽志工;也有同學曾利用課餘時間在特殊教育班中擔任陪讀小天使;也有同學在故宮擔任英語導覽志工,協助外國友人了解中國文化的博大精深,這些看似微小的行動與服務,都會對社會產生莫大的影響,同學們在做公益的同時,不僅是在付出,也是在學習由公益活動中養成一生受歡迎的陽光人格,這才是ETS推動此獎學金計畫的宗旨與目的。」
本獎學金共分為高中、高職、一般大學校院、技職校院與研究所5個組別,每個組別皆有10 個名額,共設立50名得獎名額,每名獲獎學生可得美金1,000 元。本計畫在每一組別皆提供2名低收入戶學生保障名額,以鼓勵弱勢族群積極參與。此外,主辦單位特別強調,即使是已在職場工作,並利用下班時間進修的在職專班學生,只要熱心公益,達到基本的多益成績門檻,也同樣具備申請多益獎學金的資格,歡迎多加申請。
